Dale Wike, 87

July 28, 1936 - February 08, 2024

Dale Wike, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Oak Leaf Manor South. He shared 68 years with his wife Connie M. (Fitzkee) Wike.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late M. E. Kathleen (Ransbottom) Wike. Dale worked as the manager of Sweetbriar Apartment Park for 42 years. He played the sax and loved Jazz music. Like his beloved “Joe Cool” Snoopy, Dale was one “cool dude.”

In addition to his wife Connie, Dale is survived by his daughter, Debora Hoffmaster, three grandchildren, Heather Hoffmaster, Connie Dorsey, and Adrienne Hoffmaster, seven great-grandchildren, one great great-granddaughter, two sisters, Phyllis Preston and Dolores Erbe, niece Denise Erbe, and nephew John Erbe, Jr. (Julia). His brother William Wike preceded Dale in death.

Connie extends her heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Oak Leaf Manor South and Masonic Village Hospice for the care they gave to Dale.

A graveside service will take place 2 PM Friday, February 16, 2024, at Boehm’s United Methodist Cemetery, 13 West Boehm’s Road, Willow Street, PA 17584.

Kindly consider a contribution in Dale’s memory to the Brain Support Network, P.O. Box 7264, Menlo Park, CA 94026.

Connie and family , it’s been many years that I’ve known Dale and been friends with you all. Dale , Phyllis , Dolores, and Billy were like family. And you Connie became one also.   Years of fun times and sad times.  There are so many , many memories that I have , and will always remember , with  fondness . Love and condolences from us both.
