Cynthia M. “Cyndy” Henry, 69

September 25, 2020

Though the petals of the flower wilted, the beauty the flower held, will never be forgotten.

Cynthia M. “Cyndy” Henry, 69, of Pequea, passed away at Oak Leaf Manor North on September 25, 2020. Born and raised in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Stewart A. and Madrenenn F. (Greer) Yoder. She was also the loving wife of William A. Henry for 37 years, until his passing in 2014.

Cyndy treasured spending time with her family. While raising her sons, she made it a point to never miss a Boy Scout meeting or baseball game. She instilled in them a will to succeed and was always their #1 supporter. At home she enjoyed stitching, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She had a deep-rooted love for animals which lead her to open C&S Pets in Quarryville, which she operated for 8 years. Later in life she found a passion for alpacas which she owned for many years. She also had a knack for genealogy. She spent countless hours studying and tracing the lineages of her family as well as her husband’s.

Her spirit will live on in her sons; William A. “Will” Henry, husband of Jessica (Cintron) of Trumbull, CT and J. Daniel “Dan” Henry, husband of Ronda (Reese) of Pequea, grandchildren; Kayleigh and Colton, Dixie and Bo, nephews; Nick Bodish and Ian Yoder (Crystal) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her parents, husband and a sister, Gail Yoder.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 2PM on the South Lawn of the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Friends and family will be welcomed from 1PM-2PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Cyndy’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

March 15, 2021

Dan, Will and families,My condolences on your loss. I sorry that I lost touch with your mother and am just finding out about her passing now. I always enjoyed her company over the years. I know she was proud of both you.My condolences on the passing of your Aunt Gail as well. Didn’t know about her passing either. I’d helped her with some computer issues as well. Both will be sorely missed.

Dan, Will and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I met your Mom and Dad for the first time a little over 20 years ago down at Villanova. We shared many laughs and stories. The one thing that resonates to this day is how proud they both were of both of you, not only then as young men but over the years as you started your respective jobs and families. As you now know as parents, there is no greater gift then the love and pride you engendered for them which continued on thru to their grandchildren. Your Mom’s love and care for animals over the later years spoke volumes to the type of person she was. I hope the many happy memories over the years can bring you some comfort during these sad times. Please let us know if there is anything you need.

My deep condolences to Cynthia’s family. I will always remember her fondly as a bright, creative, kind and compassionate person. As she became ill, I noted the love and care you gave your mother. It was my privilege to be her physician for so many years. May the peace of the Lord be with you.

Will and Danny,
I treasure the many years I had Cyndy as a true friend, neighbor lady, egg lady, and fellow member of our knitting group. Cyndy provided many hours of laughter and advice that I hold dear.
