Claude L. Morrison, 88, lifelong Lancaster County resident, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at Brethren Village Retirement Community. His wife of 65 years, Jean Marie (Reese) Morrison, died July 15, 2014.

Born in Pequea, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace (Rineer) Morrison. A 1946 graduate of Manor Millersville High School, Claude worked as a carpenter millwright for Wohlsen & Son, now Wohlsen Construction.

They also enjoyed playing croquet. As a young man he played softball with Colemanville United Methodist Church. Claude was a faithful member of Church of the Apostles U.C.C., where he previously served as a sound tech and usher.

Claude is survived by three children: Sandra J. wife of Thomas Groff, Nottingham, MD, Randall C. Morrison, married to Luane (Hess), East Petersburg, and Jocelyn E. Morrison, Lancaster; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and his sisters, Jean Darlene Shank, Pequea, and Freda Eshleman, Conestoga. His brother Glenn R. Morrison and sister Janet Louise Rankin preceded Claude in death.
