Claude C. Ice
Claude C. Ice, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Lebanon Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is now rejoicing with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born in Goshen, IN, he was the son of the late Jessie L. (Garman) Nissley and George C. Ice. Claude was the loving husband of Rebetta (Rutt) Ice with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage last October.
Claude’s passion was helping others in any way he could. He always made himself readily available to anyone who asked, and he thought no task was too big for him to handle. He also spent his free time playing cards and tennis with his family who will miss him greatly. Claude attended Evangel Assembly of God. A veteran, he served in the United States Army in the Presidential Honor Guard.
In addition to Claude’s wife, Rebetta, he is survived by four children: Tony D. Ice, husband of Abbie, Timothy Ice, husband of Linda, Christina Glick, wife of Rob and Sheryl Rettew, wife of Mark; five grandchildren: Kelly Ice, Tyler and Nicholas Rettew and Kyle and Natalie Glick; a brother: Joseph Ice, husband of Marilyn; and a sister: Henrietta K. Keller, wife of William.
A Memorial Service will be held at Evangel Assembly of God Church, 939 Linden St. Ephrata, PA on Thursday, April 12, 2012 with Pastor Kevin Sylvester officiating. The family will be greeting visitors from 6 – 7 pm with the service starting at 7 p.m. A private interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
