May 6, 1962 – May 13, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Kai “C-Moore” Moore who passed away on May 13, 2025.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida and a longtime resident of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Chris was known for his unwavering loyalty, warm heart, and the rare gift of maintaining friendships that spanned his entire life. A true friend in every sense, who will be greatly missed by many.

Born on May 6, 1962, Chris graduated from Manheim Township High School in 1980 and furthered his education at Lehigh University where he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1984. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. Upon graduating from Lehigh, he went on to build a nearly 40-year career at Armstrong World Industries, where he was respected not only for his work in numerous capacities and locations but for his kindness, intelligence, and integrity.

Chris’s life was a testament to the power of connection. Throughout his life, he nurtured relationships with care and sincerity. He believed that friendships were among life’s greatest gifts. His family and friends will deeply miss his kindness, sense of humor, and presence in their lives.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angel; his children, Jacob and Nicholas; his mother, Katherine Andersen Moore; his brothers, Michael and Tom, and their families who brought him endless joy. He was proceeded in death by his father, Alfred Robert Moore. He also leaves behind a wide circle of friends who became like family, each with their own cherished memories of Chris’s laughter, humor, wisdom, and unwavering support.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Anne B. Barshinger Cancer Institute. Details on a Celebration of Life will be forthcoming.

I think of Chris and just smile.  The things we got up to while working togehter at Armstrong are the best memories.  I recalled a story with him in January and we laughed.  I will always remember Chris this way.

Chris and I began (and ended) our Armstrong careers at the same time, becoming neighbors in between.  He was always so cool, collected and unruffled – traits I always admired about him.  I so wanted to catch up with him recently but life (& excuses) got in the way.  My loss, but I’ll remember him fondly.  Sending prayers to Angel and the boys.

I think the best thing anybody could say about another person is that they lived life with integrity and kindness toward others. In every sense of the word, Chris led a life well lived, and I can only hope that his memory will be a blessing to his family and his extended family. He will be missed!

Oh buddy. You were a good friend. A sweet soul. And the definition of determination and strength. My HS classmate I really got to know in our adult years. You made me laugh. Your humor and one off’s were epic. There is now a void. God bless you brother.
