Christopher J. Roschel, 51

Christopher J. Roschel, 51, of Manor Twp., passed away at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy on Monday, April 8, 2019. He was born in Lancaster to the late James H. Roschel and Sylvia R. (Martin) Roschel Wert.

A 1985 graduate of Penn Manor High School, Chris worked at the Hess Gas Station on Columbia Avenue for 10 years. He then worked as the computer operations manager for Physicians Support Systems, Inc., in Mount Joy for over 20s.

Chris was self-taught in computers and software. He enjoyed computers, audio video and writing and creating video games. He also enjoyed vacationing in Wildwood, NJ. An avid roller-skater, Chris skated for the Park City and Rocky Springs speed teams, and he coached the Dutchland Rollers roller derby team from 2005-2010.

Surviving Chris are his step-brother Randy Roschel, husband of Mary, their son Eric Roschel and Eric’s children Camden and Lindsay Roschel; as well as his cousins Tara Miller, wife of Michael and Tony DeFranco. Chris was preceded in death by his parents and niece Lisa Roschel.

A viewing will take place 11 AM to 12 PM on Thursday, April 11th at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Graveside services and interment will follow in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.

Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
