Stephie — I love you. My heart is just aching for all you’ve been through. I am so grateful that you were Chris’ wife, and that he experienced a true and abiding love with you even in the midst of his demons and struggles.
I will pray that as you heal from all of this you’ll be able to remember with joy the Chris that you married, and you’ll remember our Johnston family gatherings with a smile on your face.
And I will pray for peace in your heart.
Love, Carol
Steph,
I am so thankful that you came into my brother’s life. You showed Chris what unconditional love is and I thank you for that. I know we didn’t always see eye to eye but I just want you to know I love you very much and I am always here for you and Emily.
Love, Sue
Dear Mrs Johnston & Family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss and a loss of a Friend. Chris was always one of the friends I have had at RR Donnelley for 25 years, that could make you laugh when you needed to the most. I remember having many conversations with him about our Families, and I know he loved all of you dearly. He will be missed.
God Bless you and your Family

Dear Stephanie, Chris’ children, and Chris’ family
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you at this time. I’ll remember all the good times at Muddy Creek Forks during trout season with Chris. And the 28 years that I had the pleasure of knowing him at Donnelley. He is already deeply missed. We pray that time will heal your heart and the good memories of Chris will survive.

Johnston Family,
It is with saddened heart that I hear of Chris’s death. Although it has been more than 20 years since I last saw Chris, I have fond memories of our early years. One particular night comes to mind. We were at a party until 4:00 AM and Chris had no ride so we took my brothers car and I drove him home. It was the first time I ever drove and I had no license since I was only 15. Foolish things kids do but we laughing all the way.
It is my sincere hope that your bereavement passes quickly and you to are left with the best of memories.
Sincerely,
Jim Work
