Condolences to the Family

June 29, 2016

I am just learning of Chris’ passing.  My memories of her go all the way back to our Ocean City days, Stenton Place and Dean’s Restaurant.  Her passion for reading and certain movies (Gone With The Wind, etc.) always moved into great discussions on the roles and how she identified with the characters.  I thought of her often as time went by, always thinking that it would be fun to see her and talk about old times.  Sadly, that time never came and now, it never will. A lesson in the evils of procastination.  My relationship with her was rare, special and deep.  Enjoy your memories of her as I am right now.  I hope she finally found the most fiery opal ever!   🙂

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Chris was a wonderful person and a loyal employee of State Farm.  She will never be forgotten.  Remember all the great times you had with her.
Sincerely,
Chip and Cyndi (McGeehan) Conover

I knew Chris through working with her in 1996 at State Farm’s York office.  She was a kind and hard-working woman.  I enjoyed getting to know Chris and will keep her children and family in my thoughts and prayers.  God bless.

Matthew and Erin, I worked with your mother for 28 yrs. at State Farm. She was
very proud of you. I cherish memories of her wit and wisdom and generosity. I
pray you will find comfort in this time of grief.

Chris and I were in the wedding party for my late sister, Margee Simmons Eichelman. She and Margee were close friends and shared many wonderful times together.  It was Chris who hosted a lovely baby shower when Margee was pregnant with her daughter Alicia (one of Erin Larkin’s early childhood friends). One of the most memorable and touching events orchestrated by Margee and Chris was "Erin in a box".  Erin, who was quite young at the time), popped out of a large box for Alicia’s birthday present.  Alicia who was about 4 at the time was thrilled and we still have a photo which captures that very special moment between the two children.  I like to think she and Margee are now together in a better place.
With my deepest sympathy on your loss,
Mary Simmons

I knew Chris from working at State Farm.  She was an beautiful, kind, caring person.  Who also gave me some of the best recipes.  I can remember nights chatting online with her just to keep in touch after I left State Farm.  She will truly be missed.  Just know my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of need. We were so sorry
to hear of your loss.
Sincerely,
James McConnell  &  Family

Though we had only a few phone conversations and meetings, I feel that Christine had a deep love for her children.  She was always willing to "go the extra mile" for Matthew and, I am sure she has done the same for Erin.  My sympathy goes out to the children, and to John, during this difficult time.

I’ll never forget all of the Christmases that I spent at the Larkin’s, and how they we’re always there for me after my mom passed away. I have very fond memories of Chris that I will always carry with me. My deepest condolences to her family at this time.
