Chloe Elizabeth Brightup, 23
May 14, 2025
Chloe Brightup, 23, wife of Ryan Firestone, of Willow Street, PA, passed away at Hospice & Community Care on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Chloe demonstrated bravery and strength during a 7-year battle with chronic illnesses. She was an exemplary self-advocate in pursuing medical care to battle a variety of conditions. Chloe was surrounded by her husband and parents, Bob and Beth Brightup of Willow Street, PA, at the time of her passing.
She graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School, Class of 2020, and loved her position as a Personal Care Assistant at Lancaster General Hospital. Chloe continued to educate herself on medical conditions, even beyond her own illnesses. She consistently focused on others before thinking of herself.
Chloe loved being a wife to her best friend Ryan, and she was a sincerely dedicated daughter who enjoyed the spirited fun of family game nights, family vacations, campfires, and holiday traditions.
Chloe’s family includes her husband Ryan, her parents Bob and Beth, her brother Nathan Brightup of York, PA, and her grandparents, Earl and Eloise Brightup of Newton, KS, and Jim and Carolyn Whitaker of Wausau, WI. She was also a devoted dog-mom to Kaia, her chocolate lab.
Friends will have time to view and say goodbye to Chloe from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Chloe at 5:00 pm, led by Pastor Joe Sherer, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Chloe’s memory to one of her two favorite causes, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium whose mission is rescue and rehabilitation of injured marine life, or Susquehanna Service Dogs whose mission is to breed, raise, and train service dogs to assist people with disabilities to live more independently.
