Charles J. Rogan, 89

Charles J. Rogan, 89, of Lititz, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in New Castle, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Stella M. (Lang) Rogan. Charles was the husband of the late Ida R. "Becky" (Frazier) Rogan who died in March of 2010.

Charles proudly served his country in the Civilian Conservation Corps in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed as a machinist at Johnson Bronze, United Engineering, and Mesta Machine Company. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling.

Charles is survived by 3 children: Charles J. Rogan husband of Laura S. of Christiana, Karen L. Wetzel wife of Michael of Lititz, and Amy R. Briner wife of Nick of Flower Mound, Tx.; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Moak wife of Geoffrey of Pittsburgh, Julie Rogan of Philadelphia, Emily Rogan of Cambridge, Ma., and Casey and Leslie Briner both of Flower Mound, Tx.; 2 great grandchildren, Simon and Ryan Moak of Pittsburgh, and a brother, Francis Rogan husband of Jean of New Castle, Pa.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Michael R. Wilson officiating. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home before the service from 1 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Interment will be private at Witness Park Cemetery, Lititz, Pa.
