Charles E. Schwarz, 87

Charles E. Schwarz, 87, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Born in New York City, NY he was the son of the late Edward W. Schwarz and Agnes (McCoppin) Schwarz. He was the husband of the late Emily (Gula) Schwarz.
He received his Doctorate of Education from Rutgers University.
Charles worked as a college professor at Rowan University in New Jersey for over 35 years.
Charles was an award-winning author that wrote over 15 social satirical books; many under the Loney Detective series.
He is survived by two sons, Charles “Chuck” Schwarz II, husband of Kimberly of York and Edward Schwarz, husband of Susan of Lancaster. Also surviving are two grandsons, Matthew, and Alex.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
