Charles “Chad” Brian Johnson, 36

September 04, 2016

Charles B. Johnson, 36, of Lancaster died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 4, 2016. Chad was born on April 12, 1980 in Lancaster PA and was the son of Jerri Anne (Helsel) Johnson of Lancaster and James E. Johnson of Lititz.
Chad was a loving, caring, kindhearted young man. He always tried to help those less fortunate than himself. He was a skilled craftsman and loved his job with Paramount Drywall, Inc. Chad adored his dog Molly his faithful companion. He was a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan since childhood. He loved “hitting the irons” and staying fit.
Chad will greatly be missed by a host of friends and family. He leaves behind fiance’, Valerie D. Deibert, that he adored. He was looking forward to a life with Val and her three sons, Caden, Chase, & Carson. He could hardly wait to be their step-father.
Chad is survived by his mother, Jerri Anne Johnson, wife of James L. Hackett of Lancaster, father, James E. Johnson, husband of Diane of Lititz; sister, Lauren L. Nogle wife of Chad Nogle of Lititz, brother, James E. Johnson, husband of Alexandra of Fort Myers, FL; nephews & nieces, Noah & Zoe Nogle, and Maxwell & Reed Johnson; stepbrothers & sisters, Jacquelyn M., Nicole L., Taylor A., & James B. Hackett, Christopher Geltz (Samantha), & Nicole Hunkala (Matthew). Paternal grandmother Marietta Johnson of Lititz.
A viewing will be held Wednesday evening September 7, 2016 from 6-8pm at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Chad’s Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:00am with the Rev. Don Hackett officiating with visitation starting at 10:00am until time of service. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made in Chad’s memory to the Charles B. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Millersville University, 207 N. George St., Millersville, Pa 17551.

Condolences to the Family

September 14, 2016

I am so sorry to read about your loss, it is always difficult to lose a loved one, but it is especially tragic to lose them at such a young age. Please take comfort in knowing that death is only a temporary part of life. (John 5:28,29) Although your time with Chad was cut short, you can have the hope of being reunited with him forever, under perfect circumstances. (Revelation 21:4) In the meantime, even though the pain may at times seem insurmountable, rest assured that God will give you the strength necessary to endure. (Psalm 94:17-19) Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences.

Dear Jerri, Jim and Family,
I was deeply saddened to read of the loss of your son, Chad.  I knew him as an energetic little boy but lost track of him and you all over the years.  I can’t imagine the pain you must be feeling.  Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.  May God give you peace to deal with such a loss.  One day at a time… Sincerely, Kate and Bill Benson

I do hope that you can find comfort in the caring thoughts of friends and family and in your sweet memories. May you also find some comfort in knowing that “God is near to those who are brokenhearted and crushed in spirit” (Psalms 34:18). Please accept my sincere condolences at this sad time. L. Morgans
