Celeste Faith “Chocolate” Terry, 41
October 24, 2020
Celeste Faith “Chocolate” Terry, 41, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Chester County, she was considered an angel to her parents, Louree E. (Fisher) and the late Willie J. Terry.
Chocolate was the quintessential mother, daughter and friend. She was loving, had a great sense of humor and was a great listener. Even to her friends she was very caring and mothering, as it came very natural to her. She was very dedicated to her faith and wanted others to feel the same about God’s blessings and love. For Chocolate to call her friends and family just to tell them how important they were to her and how much she loved them, was not out of the ordinary for her. She had very few friends as she considered so many of them family.
In her free time, she enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles. This was a pastime she shared with her late father that she carried with her. She was also known for her vast collection of coffee and coffee cups. She had no favorites simply because they were related to coffee, so they were great.
Her love will continue on in her mother Louree, of Lancaster, children; Asia Gonzalez, George Gonzalez and Jakai Terry, all of Lancaster, siblings; Golden, Gabrielle, Zachary, Samaria, Carl, Elizabeth, Malana, Joy, Thon, Khan, Pov-John, Isaac, Benjamin, Serenity, Thomas, Angelique, Jesse, Tirzah, Alecia, and Barbara, her closest and dearest friend, confidant, and sister, Quottysha Thomas and countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her father Willie, and brothers; Chuorn and Charles.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 12PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing from 10AM-12PM. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
