Cecelia Warren Barlow, 93

Cecelia Warren “Ceil” Barlow, 93, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025. Born in Greenwich, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Regina (Warren) Pickering. She was married for 68 cherished years to her husband, Rev. Dr. Edward E. Barlow.

Ceil graduated from Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia and went on to attend business school. Her greatest joy and calling was being a devoted wife and mother. She shared her husband’s ministry throughout their lives together, most recently serving with the Senior Adult Ministry at Hempfield Church.

Ceil’s faith was steadfast and evident to all who knew her. She had a bright, infectious laugh and smile, and she especially loved trips to Ocean City, New Jersey. Her warmth, strength, and support touched countless lives.

In addition to her husband Ed, Ceil is survived by her daughter, Cindy Myers and her husband Dan; her son, Scott Barlow and his wife Jo Ann; and four grandchildren, Ryan Sherk, Andrew Barlow, Emily Barlow, and Paul Myers. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Janice Cuff and Barbara O’Donnell.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Ceil’s life will be held on June 18th at 11:00am at Hempfield Church, 3050 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cecelia’s name to the Senior Adult Ministry at Hempfield Church.
