Catherine N. “Kitty” Johnson, 90
Catherine N. “Kitty” Johnson, 90, of Lancaster City, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Catherine M. (Roehm) Loechner.
Kitty was formerly employed at the carpet plant with Armstrong World Industries and most recently worked in sales at the Burlington Coat Factory for 18 years.
She was in the first graduating class of J.P. McCaskey High School. She enjoyed shopping, sewing, and visiting the Lancaster City Public Library. Kitty also enjoyed volunteering with the Red Cross.
Kitty is survived by a daughter, Pamela J. Minnich, wife of Rick, of Manheim, two sons, Bruce A. Johnson, of Lancaster, E. James Johnson, husband of Lois, of Lancaster, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, three nieces, and one nephew. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert R. Loechner.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Kitty’s Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pk. Lititz, PA 17543 at 11am with The Rev. Titus Kauffman officiating. A viewing will take place from 10-11am before the service. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kitty’s memory to Hospice of Lancaster County PO Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17602 or to Lancaster Public Library 125 N.
