Carter Nicolas Ransing

Carter Nicolas Ransing came into our world at 4:04AM on June 30, 2009. But he came to us too soon and in spite of expert and compassionate care by the Doctors and Nursing Staff at Women and Babies Hospital, he could not stay with us and left this world on July 4, 2009. In his all too brief time on earth, he was cared for and loved deeply by his mother, Katy. His contentment was in her arms. As she played soft music for him, which she had done all during the pregnancy, he opened his sapphire blue eyes to see the face of the one who loved him beyond measure.

He will be sorrowfully missed by his grandparent, Jerry and Maxine as well as his Aunts, Laura, Noreen and Julie. Family friend Annie, spent many hours at his bedside and was of great comfort to Katy. He is also survived by Uncles Jerry and Erik. His thirteen cousins will remember him in pictures and stories.

Carter’s valiant effort to survive was an inspiration to everyone. He is resting comfortably in a place of peace and serenity. Katy and her family and friends have all been enriched and touched in the deepest recesses of their hearts by having known him. He will never be forgotten. We lift you up on wings of love, Carter.

A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Charles Road,  Bausman ,PA on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 3:00PM with the Rev. Dean Jurgens officiating. Arrangements are by the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel. To send condolences, please visit www.snyderfunerslhome.com

Condolences to the Family

September 14, 2019

It has now been ten years but seems like yesterday.  God has given Carter a wonderful little brother who is loved dearly.  You are still and always will be in our minds, hearts and prayers, Carter.

I know it has been almost five years since God called Carter to a wonderful place.  I’m sure he and Hugh are playing together up there and now they have Pop Pop looking after them lovingly. I feel their presence everytime I visit St. Joseph’s, side by side.   Love   Aunt Josie.

Katy and family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss…words can’t even express.

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."  ~Kahlil Gibran
With deepest sympathy, the Lookingbills

Bless you all.  Your description of Carter’s short life could not have been more beautifully written.  I felt as if my arms were around each of you as I read your message.
