Carolyn C. (Hill) Oatman, 81

Carolyn C. (Hill) Oatman, 81, of Lititz, formerly of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Carolyn was born in Monroe, NC to the late Lawson Powell Hill and Jean L. (Hildreth) Hill.
Carolyn started her family in San Diego, California where some of her fondest memories took place. She enjoyed vacationing at the shore and spending time with her family, especially on the holidays. Carolyn was known for being the neighborhood mom and will be remembered for her open door and loving nature.
Carolyn is survived by her 3 children: Rory Oatman (Tammy Snavely) of Lititz, Nicole Oatman (Richard Sanchez) of Lancaster and son Ryan Oatman of New Castle; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and many other children she treated as her own. She was preceded in death by her children: Roland Oatman and René Oatman.
A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Family and friends will be received from 6:30 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster, 116 S. Water St. PO Box 104, Lancaster, PA 17608

My deepest condelances to the entire family. I am already missing our weekly phone calls with my Aunt Carolyn. She really seemed to enjoy our late nite talks. She was such a genuine and beautiful person. My thoughts and prays are with all the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We both talked about fond memories of the years gone by, when I was 10 and she was newly married. We always ended our phone calls with an “I love you”.

Rest in peace my beautiful cousin. One day we will meet again. You left an awesome legacy, of family, love and strength! I know you love your new mansion in heaven. My prayers and hugs are to your family, for they will miss you so much. What a party in heaven with all the Hildreths together again! They loved to dance and laugh and each other. So until we meet again, dear cousin, hugs and tears missing you. Love you always.🌹❤
