Caroline M. Carr, 90
Caroline M. Carr, 90, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Catherine (Lawrence) Keppel.
Caroline worked at RCA between 1947 and 1955, for Shank’s Sporting Goods for about five or six years as a sales clerk, and at Hamilton Watch Co. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking them to the beach. She lived in Puerto Rico for a period of time and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was a member of St. Andrews UCC in Lancaster.
She is survived by her children; Donald R. husband of Patricia A. Carr, of Wrightsville, Dawn M. Saurbaugh, of Lancaster, also surviving are five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Carr, Jr., and her sisters, Mary Snyder and Agnes Gouker.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:30AM from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Friends and family can view at the funeral home between 10 and 10:30AM. Interment in Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Caroline’s memory to St. Andrews UCC, 701 N.
