Carol-Anne A. Fusco, 68

October 24, 2018

Carol-Anne A. Fusco, 68, passed away at her Lancaster home surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Alfonzo and Stella Anne (Gutkowski) Guardino. Carol-Anne marked 48 years of marriage with her husband Cono F. Fusco on August 9th.

A graduate of West Islip High School, Class of 1968, in her youth Carol-Anne worked in the cosmetic industry in Manhattan. After marrying Cono she dedicated herself to becoming a domestic goddess, taking care of the people she loved best, her family. As the kids grew she became an entrepreneur owning a card and gift shop “C-Anne’s Impressions” in Hauppauge, NY.

Her family will remember her as being an amazing cook, and throwing outstanding family gatherings. She was selfless, generous, and spontaneous, often waking her kids in the evenings to go sledding or swimming or just for a drive to see Christmas lights. She encouraged and shared a passion with her family to dream big, and use their imagination.

She loved music, especially Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, and the oldies of her childhood. She could be heard blasting the radio and singing along. She passed on a love for the music of her generation and song to all of her children. She was an amazing mother and the most beloved wife. Her husband recently said “she was the best wife, I really was the lucky one.” She loved animals especially her cat Max and dog Junior. She was a parishioner of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

In addition to her loving husband Cono, Carol-Anne is survived by their six children: Jennifer-Ann, wife of Anthony DeMario, Islip, NY, Paula-Ann, wife of Daniel Petti, Manheim Township, Frances-Ann, wife of Marc McClure, Manheim, Joseph J. Fusco, husband of Blanca Casco-Fusco, Lancaster, Agnes-Ann Fusco, Lancaster, and Carol-Anne P. Fusco, Lancaster; Honorary daughter, Melanie L. Hummer, Lancaster; eight grandchildren: Jasmine, Jayden, Francesca, Ellie, Anthony, Cono S., Michael and Giuseppe; her brother Joseph Guardino, husband of Marlene, Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Carol-Anne was preceded in death by her nephews Joseph Guardino and Nicholas Siragusa.

Viewings will take place 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, Oct. 30th at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel F.X. Powell on Wednesday, Oct. 31st at 11 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Dear Paula and Dan,
I am so sorry to hear of Mom’s untimely death; I know she had struggled with health challenges for many years. To date she remains my only client to sign mortgage documents while a patient in the hospital! I have never forgotten her sense of humor and that magnificent smile. In our short time together she carved out a nook in my heart where her memory will always remain… Linda
