Carmen Rosie Perez, 58, Lancaster, died on January 31, 2021 at her home. She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and was the daughter of the late Gloria Perez.
She graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1983. She previously worked at C&D Battery in Leola. She loved gardening, hair styling, and fashion.
Survived by a son, Candido J. Gonzalez II, (Melissa Pacheco), Lancaster, partner of 33 years, Karen Branche, Lancaster, two daughters, Nicole Taylor (Jabron), Veronica Joseph (Wilkins, Sr.) both of Lancaster, two sisters, Janet Perez, of NY, Marie Williams, Lancaster, one brother, George Perez aka Papo, an uncle who was a father figure, Roberto Perez, six grandchildren, Candido Gonzalez III, aka Pookie, Jontae, Nylin, and Justus Gonzalez, Ajaysia Falcon, and Wilkins Joseph, Jr. and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a brother Basilio Perez.

My deepest condolences to the Perez family. I attended school with Carmen and her brother Basilio. We attended the same elementary school and lived on Woodward street. I remember the conversations and the long walks home from Price elementary. May God’s grace be with you in this difficult moment.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Carmen’s passing. I knew Carmen when we worked together at Conestoga View. She was an amazing person. I haven’t spoken to her in years but her condolences speak that she hasn’t changed! Karen prayers for you are your family!

Carmen it has been a long time since I have seen you and Karen. I’ll always remember you. And your tuna fish sandwiches … I would always try to get you to give it to me and or have Karen make me one too 😂 you would tell me me go make your own… and then I would try to trade you lunches, and you laughed at me me .
