Carmen D. Tirado, 74
Carmen D. Tirado, 74, of East Petersburg, PA, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Carmen was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Cristobal Ortega and Gertrudis Negron.
Carmen was the wife of Ramon Tirado with whom she would of celebrated 48 years of marriage in January 2008.
She retired after 22 loyal years working in the Medical Records Office at Lancaster General Hospital. She currently was the receptionist in the Human Resources Department at Lancaster General Hospital.
Carmen was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church. She was a Mass reader and was one of the church members who helped bring San Juan Bautista Parish to Lancaster.
She enjoyed watching Spanish soaps, spending time with her grandchildren, and spending time at church. Carmen always looked forward to Sunday’s with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her two sons, David, married to Elaine of East Petersburg, and Omar and friend Phyllis. Carmen has 3 grandchilden who she loved very much.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place from San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 8pm with the Rev. Allen Wolfe as Celebrant. There will be a visitation on Tuesday prior to Mass from 6pm-8pm. Interment will take place privately at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
