Colleen and family,
I was surprised and saddened to hear of the passing of Carl. He was such a generous and wonderful man. In the short time that I knew him at Rhino Rooms, he filled my heart with joy and wonderful memories. He always had a wonderful sense of humor and a joke and smile for all that he met. He will be sadly missed by many and God certainly will be in for a treat when he gets to heaven.
My condolences and prayers,

Dear family of Carl,
I remember all the good times we had playing together in the Clyde’s golf tournaments and the laughter we shared.   Carl have a good sleep, God bless.
Your friend,
Mickey Falcone

It has been a very long time since I have seen Carl or any of his family, and yet you are all an indelible part of my childhood memories.  Carl was a lifelong friend of my dad, Jerry Owens.  As kids, my brothers and I were always excited when "Uncle Carl" was coming to town, because we knew he would always bring lots of fun with him.  I will always remember his huge smile and laugh, not to mention a stature that made me think he was a giant when I was little.  He was a great friend to my Dad and when I heard of his passing I wanted to tell Colleen, Brian and Debbi how fondly I remember him and all of them, and how sorry I am for their loss.  He was a force of nature, and its hard to imagine the world without him in it.  Please take care of each other.  He will always be remembered fondly in my house.  Sherry Owens-Lofton

I will miss my friend "Harry Hillman".
I have had many great times with carl over the past 40 plus years and I will miss his wit and humor.
I am glad that he was my fiend and will miss his phone calls.
My deepest sympathy goes out to Colleen , Brian and Debbie and family.

Having known Carl for almost 35 years, and having being in an email conversation in the last two months about planning our next golf game, it comes as a great surprise to hear he passed away.
I always remember his humor, during one time at the Log Cabin he showed how an Englishman pulls his socks up, there was a large audience and he got great applause.
I passed the information on to friends and acquaintances of his living overseas; they all send their sympathies and condolences.
Our deepest condolences to Colleen and Family he will be missed

Colleen…(Sis), Brian and Debbie and family……

Both Juice and myself extend our deepest sympathy to you all. Carl was family to us and Damn it…. I miss him.  I have known you both since the early 60’s and to remain friends over that length of time is incredible….but that is how you and  Carl are…always generous and giving.
The most famous memory many of us will have of Carl is that he "Never had an unspoken thought"  That fits him perfectly.
Sis, I will always cherish and remember the many numerous fun times we all shared while I was with B.C.,you and Carl.  Carl and I did plenty of crazy stuff while trying to grow up…but as you know it was all in fun.
As roommates Carl and I were only thrown out of two apartments…not bad considering.
Juice and I have enjoyed both your company and personalities while you visited us here in Tucson.  (I will never forget the incident with the Corvette.)
We have officially changed the name of our annual Fraternity golf gathering to the Carl Jacobson Memorial Golf Tournament…..(Never have an unspoken thought)….it will never be the same without him but he will always be remembered.
I can only hope that we will have many more ways to honor that exceptional man.
Love you dearly Sis, so think good thoughts, cherish the memories and always ATTACK LIFE.

I can’t begin to express my, and my family’s, profound loss at Carl’s passing.

He touched the lives of SO MANY; made them laugh; helped them when they were down; and, was ALWAYS there with the perfect story, words, or deed.

He was THE consummate businessman, sportsman, gentleman!  He was much more than a brother–he was a REAL friend!

My/OUR thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Colleen:
Your husband had a wonderful sense of humor and I always enjoyed being with him. I officiated many basketball games that Carl played in the industrial League and YMCA over 30  league, and on the basketball court he maintained his great sense of humor. I have a wonderful memory of Carl when ISC had Mohammed Ali at a affair at the Sherwood Knoll on Centerville Road in September 1979. Our daughter Laurie had cancer, and that was the last time we took her out for dinner. Carl knew about Laurie, and he saw Sally and I and Laurie and Holly, and ask us to go in the back room to meet with Mohammed Ali. Mohammed Ali was very sweet to Laurie, since Carl told him about Laurie’s condition. Several weeks later I received in the mail a picture of Laurie and Mohammed Ali, and every time I look at the picture I think how thoughtful Carl was to send the picture to Sally and I. Over the years I ran into Carl a lot, and I always told him he is number one with me, and I will never forget his kindness. He was a good man? My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
