Dear Lenig Family,
I had the privilege to work with Betty at LGH. She volunteered in our Pathology Transcription Office for many years faithfully doing all of our copying for us once a week. She would bring us magazines and candy to enjoy. She was sweet and spunky. We enjoyed her stories and she was so proud of her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was proud of all the hours she volunteered at LGH. She was a wonderfull asset to our hospital and we greatly appreciate her dedication and willingness to serve as a volunteer. She was a wonderful lady, truly an inspiration to others.
I am so sorry for your loss. May all the wonderful memories you shared bring you comfort in the years ahead.  May God surround you with peace, strength and comfort during this difficult time.

My dear friend Betty, you and I shared  a long-standing friendship over many years. We were neighbors in Media Heights when we met.  Together we were always looking for ways to support the Lancaster General Hospital, she helped me every year at Town Fair, and actually organized everything, including me.  Thank you my dear friend.   Every tear before ski season, my husband Frank would take all our skis up to the Lenigs where he and wonderful Don would get all the edges filed down so we could all go to ski areas by car, bus or plane.  Yes, we were  blessed to know Don and Betty.
My favorite “Betty story” here:
We were at Tiwn Fair when George Bush was campaigning, made a stop in Labcaster, AND town Fair.
Te Mayor had asked me to make a wreath, which I did. W hen I presented the wreath to soon- to- be President George Bush, Betty jumped up on the table to take a photo , and in  SECOND three FBI Agents immediately lifted her off the table.  But she got the picture!
An old  Irish Bkessing to you dear friend:
“Until we meet again, Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand”
