Betty J. Jackard, 80, of Lititz, PA, passed away at her residence on Monday, May 5, 2014. Born in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ervin E. and Millie A. Ness Paules.
Betty had worked for 50 years in accounting for several corporations and certified public accountants in Pennsylvania and Florida. She has also been a counselor for Junior Achievement in York.
She is survived by her brothers, Charles Paules of York and Robert Paules of Dallastown and her dearest friends, Marian Miller, Suzanne King, Sheila Wagner and their families.
Services will be private.

Dear Family of Betty Jackard,
My name is Michael Peachey and I worked with Betty at Miller & Miller CPAs in Lititz. I enjoyed working with Betty, and appreciated that she was willing to learn new things, whether it was new computer programs or learning to prepare tax returns. Betty was inspirational to me personally as she perservered through health challenges. She talked often of her love of nature, particularly bird watching from her deck at Spring Hill Acres.
