Betty A. Osborne, 60

Betty A. (Kellander) Osborne, 60 of Lancaster, PA went home to be with her Lord on September 27, 2007.  She died at Hospice of Lancaster County after a courageous battle with breast cancer for several years.  Betty was surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Bellefonte, PA on November 26, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Charles M and Catherine E. Kellander.  She attended grade school and some high school in Lewistown, PA and graduated from Hempfield High School in 1964.

Betty retired from Peterbilt Truck Sales and Services in 1995 after 19 years of employment.  She also was the Vice President & Treasurer of Remco, Inc. of Elizabethtown, PA and she owned and operator B&B Refreshments Centers of Landisville, PA for several years.  She attended Hempfield United Methodist Church.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She enjoyed traveling, theater, cooking, decorating and family outings.  She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Osborne; they were married for 44 years.  In addition, she is survived by a son, Deron A. Osborne, married to Amy Rineer, and a daughter, Christine S. Kolenda, married to Michael Kolenda.  There are six grandchildren, Courtney, Kelsey, Cassandra and Cody Osborne and Adam and Savanna Kolenda.  Also surviving are her brothers, Donald of Pittsburgh, PA, Merrel of Bellefonte, PA, Charles of Ft. Worth, TX and John of Lancaster, PA.

After cremation, there will be a memorial service on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at the Village Grande Club House, Pool Forge Rd, Lancaster, PA at 3:00 PM.  Friends and family are invited to attend.  There will be light snacks after the service.  Please do not send flowers.  Contributions may be made in Betty’s name to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603  or to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O.
