Beth Deliver, 58

September 06, 2020

The world lost a kind, creative, talented soul when Beth Didner Deliver left this world on September 6, 2020 on the 32nd anniversary of her Father’s passing, at the young age of 58. Beth exited this world surrounded by her caring and warm family and friends. She was the loving daughter of Marlene Didner of Lancaster and the late Saul Didner. Beth is survived by her adoring, devoted, big hearted husband, John “Jack” Deliver of Lancaster and her two children that she thought of as her Jewels, Sarah Brooke Deliver and Joshua Michael Deliver both of Lancaster. Beth is also survived by her dedicated and loyal brother Hal Didner of Connecticut and her nephew Jacob and niece Sabrina.

Beth’s passions included her floral design business, her animals, cooking, and playing Mah Jongg always following Mah Jongg League Rules. Beth loved her friends and always thought of them as her extended family. But most of all Beth’s life revolved around her children and Beth’s face would light up when speaking about Sarah and Joshie.
Beth was employed by Congregation Shaarai Shomayim as a Religious School teacher. Beth’s passion of teaching was handed down to her own children and she taught them the value of teaching with traits of patience, empathy, concern and understanding as well as treating each student as an individual.

Beth was also employed with Jewish Family Services because helping people was a big part of Beth.

Beth grew up on Long Island and definitely had the sass of the New York Lady. She maintained lifelong friendships from her formative years.

All of our hearts have a hole in the place where Beth lived within us; as the memories overtake the grief we are hoping to make our hearts whole once again.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 3:00pm at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA under the tent on the South Lawn. Guests will be received for a time of visitation starting at 2:00pm.

Funeral services will be livestreamed at 3:00. Visit this page shortly before service to view.

Interment will be at Beth Moses Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. All COVID precautions will be observed during all mourning rituals.

In lieu of flowers donations in Beth’s memory made be made to Congregation Shaarai Shomayim or Jewish Family Services at 75 East James Street, Lancaster, PA or to Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease at www.cjdfoundation.org.

We were shocked and saddened to learn of our cousin Beth’s passing. We had casually reconnected on Facebook and wished each other well at special moments. This memorial service was the first glimpse we had gotten of our young cousins Sarah and Josh and to have seen them show so much grace amid so much grief speaks volumes to the strength of this family. We wish you all healing and the blessing of Beth’s memory at this hard time.

Beth and I are cousins through our fathers’. I remember going to her house in Jericho and  playing dolls in the basement and swimming in the pool with Hal and my sister and brother. We always had a wonderful time. As we grew up we became different people, going to college, moving away. However, I will never forget her incredible talent and creativity. We both went into teaching and we kept saying every summer, we’ll get together, but something always came up. Now there are no excuses. I no longer have her. May her memory be a blessing to all who love her.

The world has lost a beautiful and caring person. I am heartbroken. My Mom, Tamsin Wolff knew Beth well. I had the pleasure to meet Beth as she created the most beautiful corsage for my daugther’s High School Homecoming. It was short notice and Beth took the time to create a masterpiece! I remember that day so well. I called Beth to see if she could create a corsage on the day of the event. She stopped everything she was doing that day to create a stunning piece of art for my daughter! It was amazing! She put so much love and care into everything that day. I still remember her on the phone saying to me:- “Yes, I can make that for you, can you give me 1 hour?”. A true testimony- Beth was dedicated to help others. I am honored to have met such a loving, kind-hearted woman. Rest in peace. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Beth’s passing. She was such a lovely person.  I worked with her at Bucher Elementary as a lunch aide and was happy to work with another New Yorker.  She always had a smile and a positive attitude.   It was always a pleasure to bump into her at the store, she was always with one of her children.  You can tell they had a special bond with their mom.  I will always remember her kind face.  My prayer of comfort to her family.

I’m both shocked and sorry to hear of Beths passing. I have known her and her brother Hal since 1969 when her aunt Ellen Bernstein Karp was wed to our Uncle Barry Karp. Although time passed and we lost touch thru Facebook we reconnected and although never spoke was able to see how she loved her family and life. The world has a hole in its heart today May peace be with you all

We never had the pleasure of meeting Beth, but saw her name frequently in articles  relating to Shaarai.  During the Rabbi’s Sabatical we asked Miriam Baumgardner to renew our wedding vows which Jack has done for us each year.  What a delightful surprise when she arrived with a wedding bouquet made by Beth.   What a lovely gesture from someone we never met.  Our sincere condolences to your family.

The world is a little sadder and darker. Beth never met anyone who wasn’t a friend. She was very talented and very proud of her children. She will be missed.
