Dear Carol,

I was saddened to learn of your Mother’s passing when I looked at the New Era pages today online.  I was in your Confirmation Class at St. John’s long ago..and your Mom was familiar with my Mother as well.  I believe I recall her getting on the Pearl/Parkside bus each weekday morning on West End Avenue at the stop before "L.T." where I got off.  She was a friendly steady presence in the lives of many.

Sincerely,
Craig S. Riley
