Bennie R. “Maurice” Johnson, 42

Bennie R. “Maurice” Johnson, Jr., 42, of Reading, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Reading Hospital. Born in Mississippi, he is the son of Bennie Johnson, Sr. (Jodi) and Doris Holt. He enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing, sports and cruising in his car listening to music.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Bennie, Everette, Tyler, Tiffany, Olivia, Audrina, and Aubree and granddaughter, Aislynn. Also surviving are three brothers: Randy, John, and Dexter and six sisters: Keisha, Tina, Shannon, Nikola, Jennifer and Kia. He also will be missed by a stepmother, Cheryl Flora and a host of nieces and nephews.

Home Going Services will be at 10AM on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Crossroads Mennonite Church, 420 S. Christian St., Lancaster, PA. Interment will be in Memphis, TN. A viewing will be at church on Thursday from 9-10AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
