Ben Landis was a super kind and gentle man who would always make a group of people smile. Both Ben and Alma were a huge part of my childhood, as my mother and Alma were best friends. So many beautiful and happy memories come back. I know he will be making people smile up in heaven.
My deepest condolences to Alma and the whole family.

My sympathy to Ben’s family. It’s always sad for me to lose another seagoing cowboy. He leaves a legacy of providing hope for those devastated by World War II.
