Barbara Pacella, 63
Barbara Pacella, 63, of Gap passed away at her home on Monday, November 19, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Astoria, NY she was the daughter of the late Angelo and May (Daniel) Lombardo. She was married to Michael J. Pacella for 12 years.
She had worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a tax examiner, retiring in 2004 after 23 years of service. Barb was an avid card and scrabble player, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her loving husband she is survived by 2 sons: Eric Weichert, husband of Jen of Bayshore, NY and Jason Weichert, companion of Christie of Middle Island, NY. Also surviving is a sister, Nancy Lombardo, of Lake Ariel, PA, a brother, Thomas Lombardo, of Holbrook, NY and one grandchild, Mia Weichert.
A Christian Prayer Service will be at 2PM on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barb’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or hospiceandcommunitycare.org.
