Asbjorn “Ron” F. Weinoldt, Jr., 82
July 04, 2024
Asbjorn “Ron” F. Weinoldt, Jr., of Lancaster, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 4, 2024, at the age of 82 after a strong fight with cancer. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Asbjorn F. Weinoldt, Sr. and Julia B. (Chambers) Weinoldt.
Ron graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1960. The following year, he married the love of his life, Sandra E. Brubaker, in 1961. Ron and Sandy were high school sweethearts and were married for 62 amazing years! The love they shared will remain in their hearts forever.
A dedicated member of the Bausman/Lancaster Township Fire Department, Ron served his community with pride and distinction. One of his most memorable times with the Department was his service assisting the U.S. Homeland Security detail when President George W. Bush came through Lancaster County. He worked as an upholsterer for Lancaster County Upholstery, where his craftsmanship was well-regarded. After retirement, he continued his love of cars and served as a valet driver for Faulkner BMW. Ron was an avid train collector, proudly holding membership in the Train Collectors Association. His hobbies also included fishing, a pastime that brought him joy and relaxation.
Above all, Ron cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was immeasurable.
In addition to his devoted wife, Sandra of Lancaster, Ron is survived by his children: Kent (Brad) Weinoldt (husband of Davina) of Mountville, Christopher T. Weinoldt (husband of Tracy) of East Petersburg and Misty L. Bowman (wife of Troy) of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his grandson Chad Jenkins.
Family will receive friends Friday, July 19, 2024 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. 17543, from 6pm to 7pm with a celebration of Ron’s life to begin at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lancaster Township Fire Department, https://www.ltfd.org/.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hospice and Community Care for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to Ron

Lionel trains, Fire trucks and Parakeets are just of few of the fond memories I have of the youngest of my uncles- Uncle Ronnie. He was a nice man that always treated us with kindness and respect all the way back when we were kids, to the years he and Aunt Sandy babysat for our oldest daughter.
Rest peacefully in paradise sir. My condolences go out to Aunt Sandy and my cousins, Brad, Misty and Chris.

Dear Sandy I’m sorry for your loss. What a great adventure the two of you shared. Thanks for all you two have done .Youve made a great team and a huge difference in the community. After My husband died in 2007 Ron would encourage me. One day he made me laugh by saying I should look for a slow moving man that wasn’t fast enough to get away.. took five years Your Ron was one of a kind and will be missed.

Dear Sandy and family, We were so sad to hear of Ron’s passing…we just heard about it yesterday. Although we didn’t see him much recently, he was loved by our family and friends. He was filled with gratitude, to the point of tears sometimes, because of Sandy and the good life they had. He always, ALWAYS, asked about our son, Connor, when we saw him. He and Sandy always brought “little pizzas”back when we were having our super bowl party…and they always had an extra plate for Connor. Little things with great love. Frank and I will keep you all in our prayers during this time of grief. With love, Sharon and Frank Burnside
