Arlene K. Templeton, 86, of Lititz, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at Moravian Manor.
She was the wife of the late Reah D. Templeton, who passed away in 1975. Born in Neffsville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Elizabeth G. Kratzert Kopp.
Arlene had worked for Identicard Systems for 10 years until her retirement in 1999. Prior to this, she had worked at the US Post Office in Neffsville at its former location and also for AA Electric Supply.
She was a lifetime member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and on the church council.
A lifetime member of the Neffsville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Arlene also was a member of the Lancaster Post Office Auxiliary. She had been a member of the Order of The Eastern Star and the Lancaster County Shrine Club Auxiliary. Arlene was also well known for her fastnachts.
She is survived by her children: Michael D. married to Cynthia Templeton of Lititz, Cynthia T. married to David Miley of Lititz, Donald R. married to Donna Templeton of Lancaster, Patricia T. married to Thomas Badorf of Lititz, and James E. Templeton of Lancaster; her 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Kopp.
Friends will be received on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601 from 7-9PM, and again on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 from 10-11AM with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery.
