Arlen L. Landis, 90

Arlen L. Landis, 90, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on January 11, 2018 at Hamilton Arms. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Christian & Luetta Landis. Arlen was the loving husband to the late Sylvia (Flowers) Landis who died in 2016.
A veteran, he served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a 70 year member of the American Legion Post 56 of Lititz. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post 8185. Arlen was a very hardworking man. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and mowing. He still mowed his lawn at the age of 89.
Arlen is survived by a daughter, Terri Rhoads, wife of Dennis; a son, Michael R. Landis, husband of Lynda; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and his dog, Sammy. He is preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey A. Landis and siblings: Myron, Gordon and Loren Landis & Idella Hagens.
Friends will be received from 1:30-2:30 pm with a Memorial Service to begin at 2:30 pm officiated by Rev. Mark Thiboldeaux on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
