Anne Theresa Shanahan, 79

Anne Theresa Shanahan, 79, of Stony Point, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 14th, 2013.
Anne was born in Manhattan to Louis and Ellen (Mackle) Whiteside. On September 22nd, 1956, Anne married the love of her life, Frank Shanahan, at the Church of the Good Shepherd. They moved to Rockland County in 1968 to raise their six children. Anne retired from the Personnel Office of Letchworth Village in 1996, after sixteen years of service. Anne was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Thomas and Joseph Whiteside.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Frank, and her children, Ellen Shanahan, Colleen (Michael) Warren, Susan (Bill) Lampariello, Patricia (Tom) Shanahan, Robert (Estella) Shanahan and Julie (Andrew) Brown. Anne leaves behind her sister, Eileen DeFulgentis, sister-in-law, Norma Whiteside and several nieces and nephews. Nana will be missed by her 15 grandchildren, Jacqueline (Jeff) Pearce, Amy (Michael) Quinn, Jennifer (Anthony) D’Atria, Kristen (Kyle) Lampariello , Katherine Lipnicky, Bill Lampariello, Dennis Farrell, Patrick Warren, Conner Phares, Joseph and Kaitlyn Shanahan, Andrew and Liam Brown, Michael and Jennifer Huffer, and her three great-grandchildren, Declan and Brigid Anne Quinn and Keegan Pearce.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, 21 Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY 10923. Burial to follow at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Nanuet. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
