Anna Seserko, 79

Anna Seserko, 79, of East Petersburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2016, at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy. Born in Osekovo, Croatia to the late Stjepan and Jelica (Golubic) Bencec, she was the wife of the late Stephen Seserko Sr.
Anna was a woman of deep faith and belonged to St. John Neumann Catholic Church. As a devout Catholic, one of her greatest joys was praying the rosary. Anna was a very gracious and hospitable woman who opened her door to all. In her younger years, Anna loved singing-whether tending to her family’s farm or in outdoor gatherings in Croatia. Upon arriving in Philadelphia, PA, she immersed herself in her hair salon, La Chateau De Glamour. Her favorite hobby was gardening, her greatest love, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her four children: Zlatica Ukalovic, wife of Rudy, of Philadelphia; Sonia Vrooman, wife of Harry, of East Petersburg; Lili Hemphill of Dover, DE, engaged to Ray Daugherty; and Stephen Seserko Jr., husband of Jenine, of NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Anthony, Jennifer, Matthew, Stephen, III, Paige, Chance, and Gavin; Three great-grandchildren; and sister, Marica Loina, of Croatia.
Anna was preceded in death by a son, Zlatko Seserko
A Mass of Christian Burial, for Anna, will be celebrated at 11AM, on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601. Family and friends will be received at the church from 10-11AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anna’s memory to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Rd., Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
