Ann Tomlinson, 93

Ann Tomlinson, 93, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Mennonite Home. She was the wife of the late Walter C. Tomlinson who passed away in 1994.
Born in Lancaster she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Krallinger) Sagerer. Ann was a 1941 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and worked as an office manager with the Warren Weaver Real Estate Company. She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church where she was one of the founding members and was active with the funeral choir and was the past president of the ladies’ auxiliary and the Legion of Mary. Ann was instrumental in the initial office management of Tomlinson-Bomberger Lawn Care and showed her love of children through nurturing newborns for the first 6 weeks of life prior to their adoption.
She is survived by her three children Clark Tomlinson husband of Elizabeth of Lancaster, Sister Mary Joanna of the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy of Newfield, NJ and Mary Ann “Mimi” wife of Robert E. Newcomer of Lancaster; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her three siblings John and Joseph Sagerer and Theresa Metz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10AM from St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603 with Fr. Lawrence W. Sherdel as celebrant. Interment will be held in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. Visitations will be held Friday evening from 6-8pm at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 441 N. George St. Millersville, PA 17551 and also from 9am until the time of her funeral mass at 10AM on Saturday at the church. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary & Christian Prayer Service will be held Friday evening at 8pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 925 N. Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602 and or to A Women’s Concern, 616 N. Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602 in her memory.
