Patty, Michelle and Melissa,  I was deeply sorrowed to hear of Andy passing.  Sad news such as this has a way of bringing back memories of friends whom have always held a fond place in my heart.  I remember babysitting the girls and for some strange reason I still remember that mint green monster of a car Andy had back then even when it was covered in coal dust..  I also remember the bows in you hair Pat and the long converations on your porch on Hubert Avenue as you knitted.  You both made me feel at home although I was only a few steps from my own house next door.  Missy shared photos of your 50th wedding anniversary with me last time I saw her and you both looked amazing! I will always remember the warmth of love that only is birthed with truly great neighbors and friends.  Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.  In fond rememberance and love,  Debbie Chila

Dear Patty & family, Yesterday I went to see Andy’s Aunt Helen Konitsky Dilick to read his obituary.  Aunt Helen has been in an Ahlzeimer’s facility since 12/1/2011 here in Wisconsin.  As I was reading she just started crying & asked if I would be in contact with you.  They always say that people with Ahlzeimer’s do not show any emotion but that is not the case with Aunt Helen.  She knows Ken, myself & family members.  She was extremely upset to hear about the deaths of her other two nephews, Frank Kotrick & Johnny Konitsky.  I feel very badly that I was not in contact with my cousin Andy and didn’t even send a get well card.  I apologize for that & hope you & your family can forgive me.  Please take care.  Love always,
Aunt Helen (age 85), Cathy & Ken Vlasek in Waterford, Wisconsin

To the family of Andy utmost sympathies for the passing of Andy my old neighbor from Number 1 My thoughts are for the family I remember Patty with bow in her hair and her husband from the old days at John Carroll High. May he rest in peace Sorry I can still remember the old days playing ball on the “boney” pile no gloves just catch it and all the Kotrick boys of course Andy’s mom and dad. Even though we have not seen each other in a long time I still remember all the old times seeing his picture reminded me of all the times.

Dear Patty, Michelle, Melissa, & Families,
So very sorry to hear of Andy’s passing.  Just found out recently that he had been so ill.  He was too young to go, but please know that he is no longer in pain, & he is now at peace united with Uncle Alec & Aunt Mary & Stunch.  Miss all of you guys, seems like ages since I saw all of you last.  Unable to attend Andy’s services due to prior committments this weekend, but know that my thoughts & prayers are with all of you.  If ever passing thru Ebensburg, please give me a call (I’m in the phone book), would luv to see you again.  We had so much history together in years far past, where does time go?  Andy would be proud, I have 2 daughters currently serving in the U.S. Navy.  Andy, rest in peace cousin!   Luv Always, cousin Rose Marie (Konitsky) Sadosky

Pat,
Andy was a good Catholic man . He loved the Church. I loved hearing his stories of his struggles as a poor immigrant living  in the coal regions while working on the convent at St. Anthony’s. Know that you are both in our prayers.
With Love,
Mark & Brenda Asso and family

Andy held the prison together and kept it running even when he was only given a roll of duct tape and ball of string to get the job done.  He will be missed within the walls.  Love and prayers to his family.
