Andres Nieves, 81

Andres Nieves, 81, most recently of Lancaster, formerly Carteret, NJ and Puerto Rico passed away at home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Paula (Reyes) and Domingo Nieves. He was the loving husband to Nereida (Vargas) Nieves for over 26 years.
Andres moved to the US at the age of 14. Prior to retirement from Russell Stanley Corporation, Andres worked in the Oil Refinery industry for over 30 years. He enjoyed flying kites, cooking and traveling. Andres loved to play dominoes, guitar and spend time in nature. His kind heart and humble personality will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Andres is survived by his children: Alicia Sepulveda (Elder) of Lancaster and Elias Nieves of New Jersey; his step-children: Rachel Sanchez (David), Juan Rivera (Lisa) and Anthony Rivera (Tammy Saunders) all of NJ; his grandchildren: Christopher, Carly, Seth and Jaysiel; his great-grandchildren: Silas, Julian and Mathilda; his sisters Brenda and Conception and his brothers: Domingo and Juan as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by this sister Cruz Maria and brothers Octavio and Edwardo.
