Almon L. Harper, Jr., 93

Almon L. Harper, Jr., 93, passed away, February 25, 2018 at Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, PA.
He was the son of the late Almon L. and Bessie (Anderson) Harper. He was married to Elizabeth (Schapansky) Harper and to that union they had four children; Almon L. Harper III, Landenberg, PA, John Harper, Coatsville, PA, William Harper, Christiana, PA, Lois Harper, Oregon City, OR, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, and a sister.
He was a Fire Bricklayer, working for the former Lukens Steel Company. He was a United States Army Veteran, during World War II, serving in Bastogne, during the Battle of the Buldge. He was the Past Master for the Skerrett Masonic Lodge #343 A.F. & A.M., Cochranville, PA.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1520 King’s Highway, Compass, PA, 17527.
