Alberta M. “Bert” Rutt, 86

Alberta M. “Bert” Rutt, 86, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Martindale, PA she was the daughter of the late Earle Martin and Christie Eidemiller Martin Horning. Alberta was the loving wife of Leon Z. “Ruttie” Rutt who passed in 2015.

She proudly graduated from Terre Hill High School. A homemaker, Bert deeply cared for her family and dedicated her life to those she loved. She had a love of reading and traveling alongside her husband, whom she married in Lake Tahoe in 1985, through most of the 50 states and many tropical locales.

Bert was preceded in death by her late daughter, Theresa Musser, and sister Kathleen Burkholder. She is survived by her daughter Michele Trdina, of Frederick, MD, and her family, son-in-law Brian, granddaughters Ali and Emily, and grandson, Maxwell. She is also survived by her son, Kelly Stauffer, of Columbia, PA, and daughter Angela Murphy, of Fort Pierce, FL, and her family, son-in-law Dean, and granddaughters Marisa and Julia Beiler. Patricia Moyer, her sister, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, through her late daughter and son-in-law Fred Musser, as well as four stepchildren and step-grandchildren are also survived by her.

Bert will be greatly missed but the love she shared will continue to live on in the memories of her family and friends.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery, Ephrata. Those desiring may send contributions in her memory to an organization near and dear to her heart, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
