Albert Raber, 80
Albert Raber, 80 of Lancaster, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Roselle, NJ, he was the son of the late George and Edna Mudd Raber. Together for 29 years Albert was married to Malda Raber for the past 9 years.
He graduated from Roselle High School and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Albert was an independent car dealer in NJ, and then at the Manheim Auto Auction. He loved to spend time with his family, friends, his two cats, and especially with his grandchildren. Pleasures included traveling to the Beach and Florida, going to movies, the theater and concerts and listening to big band and Frank Sinatra.
Surviving in addition to his wife Malda are 6 children, Susanne Colucci, Bryn Ernst, Brian Raber, Jama Vitale, Danielle Mitchell and Ben Proler and 9 grandchildren, Bryce, Mackenzie, Chelsea, Holly, Christopher, Claudia, Madison, Luca and Zachary. Albert was preceded in death by his son Bruce Raber.
A Celebration of Albert’s Life will take place 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Lancaster Chapter, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
