This was a real shock and I am overwhelmed with sadness.  We grew up together all through our school years.  After that we stayed in touch by phone and several visiits to her home in Lancaster.  We saw Kristin and Scottie grow up.  We remember most recently our lunch get togethers with Lan and Arty, and Barb and Barry.  I have many fond memories of our class reunions.  The reunions will never be the same without Lan.  Love, Jene

So very saddened to read of Alana’s passing. She & I worked together at St. Joseph’s Hospital early in our nursing careers and, becoming good friends, spent several fun times together outside of work, as well. We also both attended St. Philip’s Church as our children were growing up. My son Ken and Kristen were in the same catechism class together. We have since lost touch but I always remembered Alana as a warm, caring, sweet person who always greeted you with a lovely bright smile. The world will be a much dimmer place now without that “wattage”. Our very deepest sympathies to her husband, Kristen, & Scott.

I am so sorry to hear of Alana’s passing.  She was a member of the Newcomers & Neighbors group where I met her.  I didn’t know her well, but we did have a few conversations where she left a positive impression……soft spoken, kind, and always smiling.  I”ll miss seing her at our get-togethers.  I’m sure she is ‘home’ with the Lord now and ‘smiling’.  Sincerely, Bev Bender
