Adrienne M. Butts, 45
December 03, 2023
Adrienne M. (French) Butts, 45, passed away peacefully at home in Lititz, Pennsylvania on December 3, 2023, surrounded by her family. She bravely fought brain cancer for over a year and a half prior to her passing. Daughter of the late Fred French and Beatrice (DeStephen) Latini, Adrienne was born in Huntington Station, New York, on March 30, 1978.
She attended New Life Christian School for several years in Hamilton, New York. She graduated from Hamilton Central School in 1996. Here, she met her husband Corey Butts, who she would later marry on October 14, 2000. Adrienne went on to attend college at multiple institutions. In May 2000, she graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in archaeology.
Throughout her life, Adrienne held several jobs, but raising her two children, Emma (19) and Carter (16), was what she was most passionate about. Adrienne was a member of Lititz Trinity Church and a valued team member at Wilbur Chocolate. Coworkers remember the positive energy and fun attitude she brought to the workplace, with her annual traditions such as “Fire and Ice Pants.” Adrienne was also a talented crafter and baker. She created beautiful
scrapbooks and decorative cupcakes throughout her life.
Adrienne is survived by her husband, Corey; children, Emma and Carter; mother, Beatrice Latini of Canastota, NY; sisters, Lynn (James) Herbert of Manheim, PA; Ruth Hansen of Hamilton, NY; Susan Rosati of Oneida, NY; and brother Christopher (Vivian) French of Manati, Puerto Rico. She was a beloved aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Services for Adrienne will be held at Lititz Trinity Church, 44 E. Orange St., Lititz, PA on Friday, December 8, 2023. Guests may start arriving at 5:30 with the service beginning at 6:00. A livestream of the service will also be available. Guests are encouraged to dress cheerfully!
Instead of flowers, those wishing to honor Adrienne are asked to donate to the Butts Family Trust, Care of Christopher Kendall, Esq at P.O. Box 248 Hamilton, NY 13346.

My daughter has a bracelet at home that says, “I am the storm.” Every time I see it, it reminds me of Emma and her passion for meteorology. I was going to get her one if things had worked out and she was my teacher’s assisstant. Storms can be scary and devastating, but they can also be beautiful in all of their power. My hope is that your family will weather this storm and still see beauty among the devastation. ~Mr. B.
