Abram E. Greenawalt, 88
Abram E. Greenawalt, 88, of 662 Bridge Valley Road, Pequea, who resided with his nephew Ben and Eddie Greenawalt, died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Manorcare.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Albert A. and Alpha M. Eberly Greenawalt. Abe was the husband of Hilda C. Manning Jackson Greenawalt who died in 2004.
Mr. Greenawalt was a truck driver and deliveryman for Nolt Ponds for 18 years, retiring in 1979. He was previously a truck driver and deliveryman for Way Oil. After retirement, he worked at the Manheim Auto Auction.
He was a member The First United Methodist Church of Millersville. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Quarter Master Sargeant. His memberships included American Legion Post #185, Life member of V.F.W. #7294 of Millersville, National Rifle Association, and AARP.
Surviving is a stepdaughter Carole wife of William Oshman of Windsor, VA, a stepson, Roy M. Jackson of Willow Street, PA., six step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a brother, Benjamin E. Greenawalt of Manheim, PA. He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a stepson.
