This is so sad and tragic – you have been taken way too soon from all that love you. Our hearts and prayers go out to Marilyn (your rock), Joanne, Faith and Rick, David and Kerri and your seven grandchildren. What a wonderfully blessed and full life it has been! But you had so much more life to explore and love. Your quick smile, a giggle and a glance – always a gentleman and someone that all of the cousins looked up to and respected.
One of my favorite memories was on a beautiful sunny day the Martel’s  headed over to Aunt Donnie’s house for a summer picnic and fun and games. When we asked where you were, Aunt Donnie says, “Oh he is downstairs playing music on sunbeams.” WHAT!?!? We raced downstairs and very nonchalantly you explained to us how you had powered your radio through sunbeams. You really impressed us!
You were so multi-talented and always willing to share your expertise- from the beautiful wedding pictures you took for my wedding album 37 years ago to video taping Maryanne and Earl so that our family stories and traditions will live on and never be forgotten. We thank you for your selfless generosity and kindness. Rest in Peace, Karen (Martel) and Steve DeFranco

I am beyond sad you’ve left the physical world Ray. You are so loved, your spirit and kindness will live on in all the people you’ve touched. You really touched my heart Ray, I loved that we had website and technology interests to bond over, and I’ve always appreciated your photography! Goodness, what an eye you had for photography. We are so thankful for the time and love you put into shooting photos and videos for the family. A labor of love for you. I’m so glad we were able to spend time together this past Christmas. My heart aches for Marilyn, Faith, David, Joanne and all the grandkids. You left us too soon Ray. I love you and appreciate the wonderful man you’ve been all these years! Godspeed. Rest in peace, Pam Martel (and Bill) McNall.

Goodbye Ray, I’ll miss you & your wonderful smile. I have seval memories from when we were kids & you were the older cousin we looked up to, that picture of your base house in Alaska, while you were in the air force, where the snow was several feet higher than you, that picture always sticks in my mind of you. All the Luthuanian picnics with Marilyn, Faith, Rick, David, Kerri and all the kids are great memories which brought such joy to my mom Maryanne & dad Earl. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me of being a good person and father. You will always be remembered in those thoughts & pictures!…..EJ Martel
