Yvonne Marie Commero, 80
Yvonne Marie Commero, 80, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, August 25th, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey E. and Edith (Rauser) Hall Theobald. Yvonne was married to James Commero who passed away February 2, 2002.
Mrs. Commero was a seamstress and tailor for Mary Sacks- Lippharts. She was a 1946 McCaskey High graduate. Yvonne loved sewing, crocheting, drawing, gardening, flowers, decorating, helped her husband in his painting, antique business and with the restoration of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was a member.
Surviving are her five sons, Joseph E. married to Donna Commero of Lancaster, James A. married to Candice L. Commero of Mt. Joy, Thomas J. married to Terry L. Commero of Strasburg, John M. Commero of Maytown, Jere J. married to Linda L. Commero of Willow Street, three daughters, Maria E. Halliday of Lancaster, Cynthia A. married to Robert J. Cook of Willow Street, Diana C. married to Jay Rankin of Tobyhanna, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one sister, Virginia H. married to Clarence Cox of Lancaster and one brother, Thomas E. Hall of Lancaster.
Graveside services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery on Friday, August 29th, 2008 at 11AM with Rev. Leo Goodman officiating. Contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church restoration fund, 119 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Arrangements by the Charles F. So very sorry to read of your Mothers passing. I know this sweet lady is in heaven already. Still remember the home made bread after school on Clay St.
