Gloria J. Cunningham, 54
Gloria J. Cunningham, 54, of Hoover Rd., Lancaster, died Thursday, December 7 from an auto accident in Bedford County.
She was the wife of William C. Cunningham and the daughter of Rachel Musser Dyer and the late Stanley Dyer.
Gloria was secretary of Price Elementary School. She worked for the School District of Lancaster for nearly 20 years. Gloria served as a member of St. Philip of the Apostle Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister, coordinator of Alpha and a devoted singer in the choir. A founding member of the Wednesday evening Rosary Group and a participant of Perpetual Adoration at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gloria was currently serving as President of the Woman’s Auxiliary Knights of Columbus Council 867. She was also a trustee of G.B.U. District 84. She was a graduate of East Hempfield School Class of 1970. She had been formerly employed by American Seed Co., Donegal Mutual Insurance Co., Charles Chips and Hamilton Swatch Watch.
Surviving besides her husband and mother are three children: Joseph, John and Angela of Lancaster; and one brother, Marlin J. Dyer of Marietta.
Funeral services will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA, on Saturday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. Viewing will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m., with the Rosary at 8:30 p.m. There will be a viewing on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Please omit flowers.
