Paul A. Duval, 83
Paul A. Duval, 83, of Salem, SC passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006 in Lancaster, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Joseph Edward and Annette Marie Carew Duval. He was the husband of Virginia Bertsch Duval for 55 years.
During World War II, he worked for Grumman Aircraft in Long Island, NY building Navy fighter planes.
Coming from a background of fabric and furniture sales, he mangaged the Flexsteel Funiture Inc., Lancaster plant in the 1960’s and was in real estate sales in the 1970’s and early 1980’s in Lancaster. He retired with his wife to South Carolina in the mid 1980’s where they enjoyed golf, traveling, and boating.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Constance L. Duval of Salem, SC; Betsy D. married to Rodney L. Spotts of Leola, PA; Jeanne- Marie D. married to Claude Pierrelouis of Gaithersburg, MD; a son, Paul H. married to Margaret T. Duval of Raleigh, NC; and 10 grandchildren. A daughter, Patricia D. Castagno, preceded him in death. He was the last of his immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. A memorial service will be held later in Hilton Head, SC.
