Harry R. Hutchinson, 75

Harry R. Hutchinson, 75, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the Lancaster Regional Medical Center.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Arthur F. and Della Heagy Hutchinson.  He and his wife Betty A. Deichler Hutchinson celebrated their 49^th wedding anniversary in February.  In 1995 he retired form Burnham Corp. as a Quality Control Supervisor after 25 years of service.  Previously, he worked as a Quality Control Supervisor for Schick Inc. from 1955-1967.

An avid pool player, he founded the Lancaster City-County 8 Ball League.  Harry was a member of the 8th and 7th Ward Clubs, Commercial Travelers, Millersville VFW Post #7294, American Legion Post #135 Perryville, MD, Eagles, and a lifetime member of the Riverside Club.

A 1948 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High, he was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.

He served as a staff sergeant in the US Air force during the Korean War.

Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Robert and Thomas Hutchinson of Lancaster; and Jeffrey husband of Lisa A. Hutchinson of Millersville; grandchildren, Shawn, Robert, Christopher, Justin, Chloe, Emily, and Lindsay Hutchinson; and a brother, Charles husband of Jean Hutchinson of Lancaster.  He was preceded in death by sisters, Hilda Donnelly and Emily Kopf; brothers, Arthur, Richard, David, John and Edward Hutchinson.

A funeral service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA on Tuesday at 11a.m.  Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Harry’s memory to the American Heart Assoc., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
