Miles P. Brooks, Sr., 85

Miles P. Brooks, Sr., 85, of Conestoga, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Miles W. and Mildred (Fisher) Brooks.
Miles was the beloved husband of Rose (Foreman) Brooks, with whom he shared many years of devoted marriage. He was a 1959 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and went on to serve in the US Air Force for 4 years. This let to him building a life rooted in faith, family, and steady dedication.
A lifelong Catholic, Miles attended St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he especially cherished attending daily Mass. His faith was an important part of his daily life and a source of great comfort to him.
Prior to his retirement, Miles was employed at Kerr Glass, where he worked faithfully for many years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed following meteorology, visiting Lewes, Delaware, and spending time in Potter County. He was an avid New England Patriots fan, with a special admiration for Tom Brady. At home, Miles found great joy and companionship in caring for his 11 beloved cats.
In addition to his wife Rose, Miles is survived by his sons: Miles P. Brooks, Jr., husband of Amy, of South Carolina; Wade Brooks; and David Brooks, both of Lancaster. He was a proud grandfather to Miles III, Keith, and Nicholas. He is also survived by his sisters: Jan Brooks of Coudersport; Carol Hale, wife of J.C., of Brogue; and Darlene Cass, wife of Bill, of Pequea; along with several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
